RATASS 2006
RATASS 2006 went off pretty well. We did have heavy rain on Tuesday night and it was a little chilly on Wednesday. It did however warm up and clear up and Thursday and Friday were excellent days. Saturday dawned to a cloudy and ominous sky which quickly proceeded to unleash a downpour. Tornado watches were out all over the area as campers hurriedly put away tents, camp gear, and whatever else needed putting away. The campsite was empty by 2:00 PM with yours truly and Tim Ledet being the last two campers out of the park. That makes it two years in a row that we have been run out by bad weather. I will stay next year no matter what. Mark "the Big German" Haecker won the fishing tournament with Jim "Bass Assassin" Largent in second and Tracy "WooWoo" Hooper in third. All in all a good relaxing trip.
