Dove Hunt 2008

Well it was a rather small crew for the 2008 Dove Hunt. Dad was not feeling well enough to make the trip and Jim had other pressing engagements. Myself, Tim, Tracy, Torey, Trey, and Gerald Broussard made the hunt. Sid got us on a game ranch and the dove really flew. It was about as fast and furious as it could get. We also killed a rather large rattlesnake and Torey got a ticket for not having a migratory bird game stamp. Trey received his Aggie ring on Friday afternoon and and got to christen it with dove blood. Here are a few pictures.
Friday afternoon about 5 minutes after he got to put it on for the first time. I must say it was a pretty damned proud moment for Dad also.
Sid actually killed this devil, but we all got our picture taken with him. This bad boy could have ruined your whole week. We were probably 90 minutes from the closest hospital with anti-venom. If he had nailed one of us with a full load of poison we probably wouldn't have made it to the hospital in time.
