The 2009 Summit was one of the best ever. The weather was absolutely fantastic. Friday night a storm threatened, but we got maybe 6 drops of rain and then it was gone. Absolutely fantastic. With the exception the absence of several cousins, I don't think it could have been better. We actually cooked a little but not much. We had no entries for the fishing tourney. We did have our usual meal at Elijah's but failed to have either a "42" tourney or horseshoes. Rookie Cole "Windshield" Vardeman brought a "washer box" and several attendees entertained themselves with that new activity. And as was said before the weather cooperated and we had 5 campers stay Saturday night. Several changes were made to the rules and you can read them in the minutes of the Thursday night meeting. There was one new quote added to the quote page and a new story for Rat Tales. We did have something happen that I don't recall ever occurring before in RAT history. We had our first impeachment. Granted it was peaceful, but still a first. Tim Hooper was Campmaster, Tom Hooper, Tracy Hooper, and Trey Hooper were Board Members, and Micah Morse was Sergeant at Arms. An unavoidable family situation occurred and Micah had to leave. Since he would have been gone more than the allowed 12 hours, he was removed from office and Paul "John Candy" Stiverson was installed in the position. We also had two rookies join our ranks and both were welcome additions. Cole "Windshield" Vardeman and Jeremy "Grinner" Hall were valuable additions to the group.
